Ben Albert is the defensive line coach for Boston College football in Chestnut Hill, Massachusetts, returning to the Eagles in 2026 for his fourth overall season with the program after previously coaching Boston College's defensive line from 2013 to 2015.
Before rejoining Boston College, Albert spent three seasons at Massachusetts from 2022 to 2024 as assistant head coach, special teams coordinator, and defensive line coach. In his first season back at his alma mater, he helped the Minutemen improve from 130th to 55th nationally in total defense among FBS teams. He arrived there after six seasons at Duke, where he coached the defensive line and later served as co-defensive coordinator. His 2017 Duke defense ranked near the top of the ACC in opponent completion percentage, scoring defense, and total defense. In 2021, two Duke defensive ends he coached, Chris Rumph II and Victor Dimukeje, were selected in the NFL Draft after earning All-ACC recognition for a second straight year.
