Bayley Hess
Assistant Athletic Trainer
Bayley Hess serves as an Assistant Athletic Trainer at Morgan State University, where she is a member of the Bears’ sports medicine staff providing comprehensive care to student-athletes across multiple sports. She joined the Morgan State Department of Athletics following the completion of her graduate education and brings experience from both collegiate and high school athletic environments. Known for her professionalism and attention to athlete well-being, Hess contributes to injury prevention, evaluation, rehabilitation, and day-to-day medical coverage in support of the university’s commitment to student-athlete health and performance.
Hess is a graduate of Messiah University, where she earned a bachelor’s degree in applied health science in 2023 and a master’s degree in athletic training in 2024. During her academic training, she gained extensive hands-on experience as a student athletic trainer at institutions including Mount St. Mary’s University, Elizabethtown College, Bishop McDevitt High School, Northern York High School, and Dover High School. Her clinical exposure included working with a wide range of sports such as football, rugby, soccer, lacrosse, field hockey, wrestling, volleyball, water polo, softball, and baseball. Hess also completed a clinical rotation at WellSpan Health’s Sports Center Rehabilitation, assisting with patient rehabilitation in a physical therapy setting. A native of Liverpool, Pennsylvania, she was a work-study student in Messiah’s sports medicine department and competed as a member of the Falcons’ track and field team, further strengthening her understanding of the student-athlete experience.
