Barry Brown serves as Assistant Coach
(Tight Ends) for Mercer University's Football program in Macon, Georgia.
A six-year coaching veteran, including four seasons across stops at three different collegiate institutions, Barry Brown begins his second stint at Mercer in 2026-27, as well as his fourth year alongside head coach Joel Taylor, as the tight ends coach for the Bears. Brown, who spent the previous two seasons in the same role at West Georgia, was a part of former Mercer head coach Drew Cronic’s staff in 2023. Brown’s position group was integral to the myriad of success enjoyed by the West Georgia offense during the 2024 and 2025 campaigns.
