Barb Weinberg is the head coach of the University of Massachusetts Amherst field hockey program in Amherst, Massachusetts. She was introduced as UMass head field hockey coach on Dec. 15, 2016, becoming the ninth head coach in the program's 44-year history.
Her most notable season at Massachusetts came in 2024, when the Minutewomen went 17-6 overall and 7-0 in Atlantic 10 play, earned the program's 27th NCAA Tournament berth and the first of her tenure, and advanced to the NCAA Final Four for the first time since 1992 and the fifth time overall. That season brought NFHCA Northeast Coaching Staff of the Year recognition for her staff, while Weinberg was named Atlantic 10 Coach of the Year and ECAC Coach of the Year. UMass also collected multiple national and conference honors under her direction, including three NFHCA All-Americans, five NFHCA All-Region selections, and seven All-Atlantic 10 honors with three major conference awards.
