Austin O'Connor
Assistant Coach
Austin O’Connor is entering his third season as an assistant coach with the Florida Gators women’s soccer program in fall 2025. He originally joined the coaching staff in February 2023 as a volunteer and was elevated to full assistant coach (Goalkeeper Coach) later that same year, in July 2023.
Before coming to Florida, O’Connor spent three seasons as an assistant coach at Marshall University, where he worked as goalkeeper coach, recruiting coordinator, and camp director.
Marshall University Athletics. Prior to his collegiate coaching career, he was involved heavily in youth soccer in Florida — at Ponte Vedra Soccer Club, Jacksonville Armada Youth Academy (including as a director of coaching), and other technical training and developmental roles.
As a player, O’Connor played one season at Gardner-Webb University, then transferred to Flagler College where he played for three seasons (2011-2014). While there, he contributed to several successful team postseason runs and was named Flagler’s Comeback Player of the Year in 2014. He holds a bachelor’s degree in Coastal Environmental Science (Flagler, 2014).
