Ashley Raley-Ross
Head Coach
Ashley Raley-Ross was named the head coach of the Florida Institute of Technology women’s basketball program in April 2025, becoming the third head coach in program history and the first female to lead the Panthers. She arrived in Melbourne after building a strong résumé across Division I, collegiate head coaching, and international basketball. Raley-Ross joined Florida Tech following a successful stint at Wofford College, where she served as an assistant coach beginning in 2022 and helped guide the Terriers to one of the most productive stretches in program history. During her time at Wofford, the team compiled a 39–23 combined record, reached the Southern Conference Tournament semifinals in back-to-back seasons, earned consecutive WNIT appearances, and captured the program’s first Southern Conference regular-season championship. The Terriers also recorded their first 20-win Division I season and their first-ever win over an ACC opponent.
Raley-Ross has demonstrated a consistent ability to develop players and build winning cultures. She played a key role in mentoring multiple all-conference performers, including a Southern Conference Player of the Year and Academic All-American. Prior to Wofford, she served as the head women’s basketball coach at Johnson & Wales University in Charlotte, where her team tied for first place in the EMAC and produced multiple national award recipients. Her coaching background also includes extensive international experience in Hong Kong and Croatia, as well as high school and AAU coaching in North Carolina. A former collegiate student-athlete at Queens University of Charlotte, Raley-Ross earned her bachelor’s degree in corporate communications in 2010. She brings a global perspective, a strong player-development foundation, and a proven competitive mindset to Florida Tech as she leads the Panthers into a new era.
