Ashley Phillips is the head coach of the Northeastern University women's soccer team in Boston, Massachusetts, and is in her 11th season leading the program in 2026. She was named Northeastern's fourth head coach on March 2, 2016, after serving on the Huskies' staff from 2010 to 2015. Her progression at Northeastern included roles as assistant coach, associate head coach in 2015, and interim head coach in 2016 before taking over the program permanently.
Phillips made an immediate impact as head coach. In her first season, Northeastern won both the CAA regular-season and tournament titles, making her the first coach in conference history to capture both championships in a debut season as a head coach. She also helped lead the Huskies into the 2016 NCAA tournament with a No. 3 ranking in the United Soccer Coaches Mid-Atlantic Regional Poll. Under her leadership, Northeastern set a single-season program record with 41 goals in 2017 and reached 13 straight CAA Tournaments from 2011 through 2023, spanning her years as both an assistant and head coach.
