Ashley Howard is an assistant coach for the Villanova University men's basketball program in Villanova, Pennsylvania. He returned to Villanova in May 2023 and completed his first season under head coach Kevin Willard in 2025-26, when the Wildcats finished 24-9 and reached the NCAA Tournament for the first time since 2021-22.
Howard previously spent five seasons on Villanova's staff from 2013 to 2018 under Hall of Fame coach Jay Wright. In those years, the Wildcats won NCAA national championships in 2016 and 2018, captured four BIG EAST regular-season titles and three conference tournament championships, and compiled a 165-21 record. Players on those teams included Ryan Arcidiacono, Josh Hart, Mikal Bridges, and Jalen Brunson.
