Ashley Bastron is the associate head coach for track and field and cross country at Wake Forest University in Winston-Salem, North Carolina. She joined the Wake Forest staff as an assistant coach in August 2019 and was promoted to associate head coach in 2024.
At Wake Forest, Bastron has overseen major progress in women's cross country and women's track and field. The women's cross country team earned its first NCAA Championship appearance since 2006 in 2025 and went on to place 21st nationally, with Angelina Perez receiving All-America honors. Bastron also coached multiple All-ACC and All-Region performers during her tenure, including Brooke Wilson, Caroline Garrett, Lydia van Dijk, Elizabeth Whaley and Perez. In her first cross country season with the Demon Deacons, the women finished sixth at the ACC Championships and fourth at the NCAA Southeast Regional, with Elise Wright, Samantha Halvorsen and Madeline Rehm among the team's top postseason finishers.
