Art Asselta is the associate head coach, offensive coordinator, and quarterbacks coach for Fordham football in Bronx, New York. He joined the Fordham staff in February 2020 after serving as an assistant coach at Yale, was elevated to associate head coach in spring 2021, and added offensive coordinator duties in 2023. After coaching Fordham's wide receivers for his first three seasons, he is set to work with the quarterbacks for a fourth straight year in 2026.
Under Asselta's direction, Fordham's offense produced some of the top numbers in the Patriot League and the FCS. In 2023, the Rams ranked first in the league and 12th nationally in passing offense at 275.6 yards per game, placed second in the conference and 13th in the nation in total offense at 428.0 yards per game, and averaged 30.5 points per game. Quarterback CJ Montes earned second-team All-Patriot League honors after throwing for 3,000 yards, 26 touchdowns, and one interception while leading the league in passing yards, passing yards per game, and touchdown passes. In 2022, Fordham led the FCS in both total offense at 608.9 yards per game and passing offense at 413.8 yards per game, and ranked second nationally in scoring offense at 49.5 points per game.
