Ari Adut
Assistant Baseball Coach / Hitting
Ari Adut joined the Jacksonville State baseball staff as the program’s hitting coach under head coach Steve Bieser, bringing professional baseball experience from multiple Major League organizations. Prior to arriving at Jax State, Adut spent two seasons in the Kansas City Royals organization as the hitting coach for the Columbia Fireflies. In that role, he developed bilingual hitting plans in English and Spanish, designed comprehensive practice programs, and created individualized long-term player development strategies. He collaborated closely with strength and conditioning personnel to tailor movement preparation and leveraged advanced analytics and technology to implement data-driven improvement plans for hitters.
Before his time with the Royals, Adut worked in the Philadelphia Phillies organization from 2020 to 2022 with affiliates in Lakewood, New Jersey, and Clearwater, Florida. There, he developed detailed game plans against opposing pitchers and introduced a swing decision tracking system to objectively measure player performance trends. He began his professional coaching career in 2019 with the New York Yankees, working with hitters at the organization’s spring training and Dominican Republic complexes. A California native, Adut previously coached at Los Angeles Valley College, serving as both an assistant baseball coach and strength and conditioning coach while also teaching Kinesiology and Adaptive Physical Education. He holds a bachelor’s degree in Kinesiology from East Central University and a master’s degree in Kinesiology from Fresno Pacific University. A former collegiate player and professional competitor in the Pecos League, Adut combines academic expertise with professional development experience to lead the Gamecocks’ offensive efforts.
