Apollo Wright is an experienced American football coach serving as the Assistant Head Offensive Coordinator at Morgan State University in Baltimore, Maryland, where he works alongside head coach Damon Wilson. Prior to that role, he accumulated extensive experience at the collegiate level, including seven seasons at the University of New Mexico coaching running backs, quarterbacks, and serving as special teams coordinator, as well as six seasons at Florida International University in Miami as an assistant coach. A native of Pennsylvania, Wright began his coaching journey in the Philadelphia area with a six-year stint as running backs coach at Villanova University, where he coached future NFL standout Brian Westbrook. As a player, Wright was a quarterback at Cheyney University after starring at George Washington High School in Philadelphia. Beyond coaching, he has been active in his community, including publishing the Amelia/Yulee Neighbors magazine and serving on the board of directors of the Nassau County Chamber of Commerce. His rich blend of coaching experience, offensive insight, and leadership makes him a key part of the Bears’ football staff.
