Antwon Portley is an assistant coach for the Hofstra University men's basketball program in Hempstead, New York, and entered his sixth season on the staff in 2025-26. He spent his first three seasons with the Pride as video coordinator before moving into an assistant coach role for the 2024-25 season.
Portley was part of a 2025-26 season that ranked among the best in program history, as Hofstra won the Coastal Athletic Association tournament and earned its first NCAA Tournament berth since 2001 after finishing with 24 victories. That team also produced three All-CAA selections, including the league's Player of the Year and Rookie of the Year, making Hofstra the first school in conference history to win both awards in the same season. Over his first five years on staff, Hofstra posted at least 20 wins in four seasons under head coach Speedy Claxton.
