Antoine Hoppenot was named an assistant coach for the Villanova men's soccer program in Villanova, Pennsylvania, in February 2026.
A former Ivy League Player of the Year and Hermann Trophy semifinalist, Hoppenot played at Princeton from 2008-11 and earned All-America honors. He was selected by the Philadelphia Union in the third round of the 2012 MLS Draft and later also played for FC Cincinnati. In February 2022, he scored Detroit City's first goal in USL Championship history in a 1-0 victory over the Charleston Battery. Hoppenot finished his playing career with Hartford Athletic in 2023.
