Anthony Rovito
Assistant Coach
Anthony Rovito joined the men’s soccer coaching staff at The College of New Jersey in the summer of 2025 as an assistant coach, bringing a strong blend of collegiate playing experience and early coaching success to the Lions’ program. At TCNJ, Rovito’s responsibilities include supporting the development of student-athletes’ technical, physical, and tactical skills, contributing to recruiting strategy, and assisting with training sessions and game analysis. His arrival in Ewing followed a productive season as an assistant coach at Swarthmore College, where he helped guide the Garnet to a 10-5-2 record and secured their first victory over a nationally ranked opponent in over a decade.
Before embarking on his coaching career, Rovito was a collegiate soccer player at both the University of Pennsylvania and the New Jersey Institute of Technology. During his time with the Penn Quakers, he appeared in 44 matches as a midfielder and was integral to the team’s Ivy League campaigns. He went on to play at NJIT in 2022 while earning his Master’s Degree in Management and Business Analytics. Rovito’s youth soccer background includes playing for the Philadelphia Union and the New York Red Bulls Academy, where he served as a two-year team captain, experiences that helped shape his leadership and understanding of the game. In addition to his college and academy background, he has coached at the club level and is slated to coach at Player Development Academy (PDA) in 2025, underscoring his commitment to developing players across multiple levels of the sport.
