Annie Lockwood is the Head Coach of the Bellevue College softball program, a position she assumed in the summer of 2023. Prior to joining Bellevue, Lockwood served as the head coach at Skagit Valley College and was an assistant coach at Redmond High School, where she contributed to a state championship-winning season in 2022. Her coaching background also includes experience at the collegiate level as an assistant coach at the University of South Dakota from 2016 to 2018, as well as a volunteer role at her alma mater, Arizona State University. Across her coaching career, Lockwood has demonstrated a strong ability to develop players and contribute to winning programs at multiple levels.
As a player, Lockwood had an outstanding collegiate career at Arizona State, where she was a three-year starter and key contributor to one of the nation’s top programs. She competed in the NCAA Tournament all four years, reached the Women’s College World Series three times, and was a member of the 2011 national championship team, earning WCWS All-Tournament Team honors. Over her career, she totaled 42 home runs and 175 RBIs while also earning academic All-American recognition and an NCAA postgraduate scholarship. A native of Phoenix, Arizona, Lockwood began her coaching career at Skyline High School, where she was named Arizona Big Schools Coach of the Year in her first season. She holds a degree in special education from Arizona State and a master’s degree in sports coaching from the University of Northern Colorado.
