Angie Churchill
Head Coach
Angie Churchill enters her fifth season as Seton Hall University’s head softball coach in 2026, bringing more than 15 years of head coaching experience and a proven history of program transformation. Since her hiring on June 21, 2021, Churchill has guided the Pirates to sustained success, including the program’s first BIG EAST Championship since 2005 during her second season. That 2023 campaign saw Seton Hall post 42 wins—the second-most in program history—and set multiple single-season records in runs, hits, RBI, doubles, walks, and conference victories. The Pirates went a perfect 4-0 in the BIG EAST Tournament, and several players earned major conference honors, including Pitcher of the Year and Defensive Player of the Year recognition. Under her leadership, the program has achieved consecutive winning seasons and continued offensive growth, highlighted by record-breaking individual and team performances in 2025.
Prior to Seton Hall, Churchill served as head coach at Hartford, Wagner, D’Youville, and Georgian Court, consistently elevating each program’s competitiveness. She led D’Youville to its first conference championship and NCAA regional berth in 2011, earned multiple Coach of the Year honors, and guided Wagner and Hartford to significant win improvements and postseason appearances. Churchill also spent six years as a Division I assistant at Ohio and Buffalo. A former standout at the University of Michigan, she helped the Wolverines reach three Women’s College World Series appearances and win three Big Ten titles. A native of Mokena, Illinois, Churchill holds a degree in Sports Management and Communication from Michigan.
