Andy Hill is an experienced Division I men’s basketball coach with more than two decades of experience, currently serving as associate head coach at the University of Washington. After joining Danny Sprinkle’s staff as an assistant coach, Hill was promoted ahead of the 2025–26 season. Known for his strong international recruiting connections, he played a key role in identifying and recruiting standout German forward Hannes Steinbach, who made an immediate impact as a freshman by leading the nation in rebounding and earning All-Big Ten honors. Hill’s influence extends beyond recruiting, contributing to player development and overall program growth as Washington continues its transition into the Big Ten.
Before arriving in Seattle, Hill worked alongside Sprinkle at Utah State, where he helped guide the Aggies to an NCAA Tournament appearance and was elevated to associate head coach during the 2023–24 season. His résumé includes coaching stints at Montana State, New Mexico, Utah, and Montana, with five NCAA Tournament programs benefiting from his leadership. At Utah, he was part of a staff that reached the Sweet Sixteen and developed multiple NBA first-round draft picks, including Delon Wright, Jakob Poeltl, and Kyle Kuzma. Hill began his coaching career in the Northwest and has built a reputation for recruiting, player development, and program-building, drawing on both domestic and international networks.
