Andre Shaw is an assistant coach for the West Virginia University men's basketball program in Morgantown, West Virginia, joining Ross Hodge's first staff in the spring of 2025 after 13 years of coaching experience.
In Shaw's first season at West Virginia in 2025-26, the Mountaineers won 21 games and captured the 2026 College Basketball Crown in Las Vegas with victories over Stanford, Creighton and Oklahoma. West Virginia finished seventh in the Big 12 after being picked 11th in the preseason poll, despite entering the year without any returning scoring from the previous season. The team opened with a 13-0 home record, its best home start since 1981-82, and recorded notable wins over No. 19 BYU and No. 22 Kansas. West Virginia also posted a 22-point victory over Pitt, the program's largest margin against the Panthers in the 55-year history of Hope Coliseum, while holding Pitt to its lowest point total in Morgantown since 1949. The Mountaineers also produced two of the three largest road comebacks in school Big 12 history, rallying from 14-point second-half deficits to beat UCF and Cincinnati.
