Andre Lindsay is an assistant coach for Sacred Heart women’s soccer in Fairfield, Connecticut. A native of Clarendon, Jamaica, he entered his fourth season on staff in 2022 and brought both coaching and goalkeeping experience from the college and international levels. He attended G.C. Foster College of Physical Education and Sports, where he earned a three-year diploma, completed internships coaching and teaching boys and girls from ages 8 to 15, and won Goalkeeper of the Year honors three consecutive times during his playing career. In 2011, Lindsay moved to the United States and earned a degree in sport management from Post University. He played two seasons for the Eagles during what were the most successful years in program history, helping Post win two CACC regular-season championships and earn back-to-back NCAA Tournament berths.
He recorded 10 shutouts in 16 regular-season games and ranked second nationally in both save percentage and goals-against average. He also represented the Jamaica National Under-20 Team. After his playing career, Lindsay joined the Post men’s and women’s soccer staffs in 2014 as goalkeeper coach and spent four years there. During that stretch, Post won three ECAC championships and appeared in three CACC championship games. In 2018, he moved to the University of Bridgeport, where he helped the Purple Knights win the ECC championship, East Regional championship, and the first Division II national championship in school history. At Sacred Heart, he reunited with head coach Matt Micros and continued working in the college game with a background rooted in goalkeeper development and championship teams.
