Andreas Lindberg
Head Coach
Andreas Lindberg was named head coach of the Seton Hall University men’s soccer program on December 11, 2017, and has since guided the Pirates through one of the most successful stretches in program history. Entering his eighth season in 2023, Lindberg has built a nationally competitive squad highlighted by a 2020 campaign that included the program’s first BIG EAST Tournament Championship since 1991 and its first NCAA Tournament appearance since 2005. That season, Seton Hall advanced to the NCAA Quarterfinals for only the second time in school history and finished ranked No. 9 nationally. Under his leadership, the Pirates have earned multiple NCAA Tournament bids, achieved their highest conference finish in decades, and consistently placed student-athletes on All-BIG EAST and All-America teams. Lindberg and his staff have been recognized as BIG EAST Coaching Staff of the Year and United Soccer Coaches East Region Coaching Staff of the Year.
Prior to Seton Hall, Lindberg compiled a 139-30-15 record over nine seasons at LIU Post, leading the program to eight East Coast Conference regular-season titles, six conference tournament championships, and seven NCAA Tournament appearances. His teams frequently achieved national rankings, and he earned six ECC Coach of the Year honors. Lindberg also served as head coach at Southampton College and held leadership roles in professional and academy soccer, including the New York Hampton Surf and Brooklyn Knights. A native of Sweden, he played collegiately at Southampton before earning degrees in Business Administration and an MBA from Long Island University. He holds a USSF “A” License and multiple advanced coaching diplomas.
