Amy Altig is the head coach of the University of Delaware women's lacrosse team in Newark, Delaware, a position she assumed on June 3, 2019 as the seventh head coach in program history.
Before taking over at Delaware, Altig spent nine seasons at Penn State, where she served as both an assistant coach and associate head coach. Her work there centered on the goalkeepers and defensive unit as Penn State compiled 111 wins, reached the NCAA Tournament seven times, and advanced to the Final Four twice. During her tenure, the Nittany Lions produced 19 All-Americans, 36 all-region selections, 40 all-conference honorees, more than 25 academic award recipients, and three conference goalkeepers of the year. After Penn State's 2015 NCAA quarterfinal run, Altig was recognized as the IWLCA Assistant Coach of the Year and was inducted into the U.S. Lacrosse Virginia Chapter Hall of Fame. Earlier in her coaching career, she held assistant positions at Princeton from 2007 to 2010 and Richmond from 2005 to 2007.
