Amelia Lech is an assistant coach for Georgetown softball in Washington, D.C., joining the Hoyas for the 2026 season. She arrived after serving as an assistant coach at Southern Union State Community College, where she worked directly with the pitching staff. Her responsibilities included bullpen development, game planning, recruiting support, player development, and organizing daily practices. Lech also brings several years of experience in travel softball.
Over the past four years, she has worked in Alabama and Southern California, where she organized and operated a competitive travel ball program. In that role, she managed player development, recruiting education, scheduling, and overall program operations. That work gave her experience helping athletes at multiple points in the recruiting process and broadened her understanding of long-term player development and preparation for college softball. Before coaching, Lech played at both Auburn and Maryland. During her collegiate career, she was a consistent offensive contributor and earned all-tournament recognition, NFCA All-Region honors, and multiple Academic Honor Roll distinctions, including NFCA All-America Student-Athlete honors in 2024.
