Allen Edwards has served as associate head coach for the University of Massachusetts Amherst men's basketball program in Amherst, Massachusetts, since April 2022. He arrived at UMass after two seasons as an assistant coach at Loyola Marymount, where he helped the Lions finish in the top three of the West Coast Conference in 2020-21, post their first winning league record since 2011-12, and reach No. 95 in the NCAA NET rankings, the program's best NET or RPI finish since 1990.
Before Loyola Marymount, Edwards spent nine seasons at Wyoming, including four as head coach. His teams won 60 games in that span, produced consecutive 20-win seasons, and captured the 2017 CBI championship after a 23-win season in 2016-17. Earlier at Wyoming, he was part of a staff that led the Cowboys to the second round of the 2015 NCAA Tournament, and he coached Larry Nance before Nance became a first-round pick in the 2015 NBA Draft.
