Alex Teubel serves as Head Cross Country Coach / Assistant Track & Field Coach for University of Northern Iowa's Cross Country program in Cedar Falls, Iowa. Alexina Teubel was named UNI's head cross country coach in October 2022 after serving as a Panther assistant coach since 2016. Teubel is also a full-time assistant with UNI's track and field team primarily working with the middle distance, distance runners and long sprinters on the track.
In spring of 2019, she helped the UNI men's track and field team repeat as outdoor track and field champions, winning the meet by a large margin. In the fall of 2018, the Panther men's and women's teams both finished fifth in the MVC Cross Country Championship with McKayla Cole finishing 12th to lead the UNI women and WalKhat finishing 8th the pace the Panther men. In the spring of 2018, she helped the Panthers earn the Missouri Valley Conference men's outdoor track and field championship. During the 2017 cross country season, the UNI women finished second in the Missouri Valley Conference Cross Country Championship with Cole earning MVC Freshman of the Year honors and Tiffany Christensen, Ashley Norem, Hannah Truniger and Bretter Correy earning All-Conference honors.
