Alan McClintock

Assistant Coach

Alan McClintock joined the Drew University men’s soccer staff in 2015 as a volunteer assistant and was promoted to assistant coach ahead of the 2016 season. Over more than a decade with the program, he has played a key role in one of the most successful stretches in team history. In 2017, McClintock helped guide the Rangers to a Landmark Conference Championship and an NCAA Division III Sweet Sixteen appearance, finishing with a remarkable 21-1-1 record. The following year, he assisted in leading Drew to an ECAC Championship, and across his tenure, the Rangers have made six Landmark Conference playoff appearances. Within the program, he serves as Head Coach Lenny Armuth’s primary assistant, focusing on recruitment, on-field instruction, and cultivating a strong team culture. A native of Northern Ireland, McClintock brings extensive international playing and coaching experience. He competed in Northern Ireland, England, and the United States with clubs including Institute FC, Limavady United, and NJ Rangers. Professionally, he serves as Director of Education for USA Sport Group, overseeing coach development and curriculum design across multiple regions. He is also a coach and club director with FC Motown, which captured the 2022 NPSL National Championship and reached national finals in 2018, 2023, and 2024. McClintock holds numerous coaching credentials, including UEFA B and USSF B and C Licenses, and earned a BA (Hons) in Sport Development and Physical Education from Liverpool John Moores University.
