AJ Albritton is entering his fourth season as an Assistant Coach with the Western Washington University Men’s Basketball program in 2025-26. At WWU, he contributes to basketball operations and assists the coaching staff in player development and team strategy. Albritton brings a professional background to the program, including experience in the NBA G-League with the RGV Vipers, the affiliate team of the Houston Rockets. During his tenure with the Vipers, the team reached the finals and achieved a first-place finish in the league. He also spent the summer of 2019 as a Video and Player Development Assistant with the Houston Rockets, further honing his expertise in professional player growth and tactical analysis.
Prior to his professional experience, Albritton worked in collegiate and high school basketball. He coached at Pima Community College and served as the varsity head coach at The Gregory School in Tucson, Arizona, leading the Hawks to the state championships and earning AIA High School Coach of the Year honors. Known for his focus on skill development, strategy, and mentorship, Albritton brings a wealth of knowledge and a dedication to advancing his players’ potential. His goal at WWU is to continue fostering growth in student-athletes while advancing his coaching career in men’s college basketball.
