Aitor Reparaz
Men's Tennis Coach
Aitor Reparaz enters his fourth season with the University of North Alabama tennis program in 2025–26, including his third as head coach of the men’s team. Since taking over the program, Reparaz has led a historic rise for the Lions, highlighted by a landmark 2025 campaign. North Alabama captured its first ASUN regular-season and tournament championships in program history, earning the school’s first NCAA Men’s Tennis Championship berth and facing No. 22 Michigan State in the opening round. The Lions posted a 20-4 overall record, the most single-season wins in the Division I era and the highest total since 1988, while going undefeated in conference play. Reparaz was named ASUN Men’s Tennis Coach of the Year, and the team achieved its first Division I ITA national ranking, climbing as high as No. 68.
Reparaz joined UNA in June 2022 as an assistant coach after serving as a graduate assistant at NJIT, where he worked alongside current Director of Tennis Olaya Garrido-Rivas. A native of Barcelona, Spain, he previously coached for four years at the prestigious Rafa Nadal Academy, overseeing ITF-level players and managing a team of assistant coaches. As a collegiate player at West Virginia Wesleyan, Reparaz was a two-time team captain, two-time All-Mountain East Conference selection, and ITA Division II Regional doubles champion. He helped lead WVWC to conference titles and an NCAA Sweet 16 appearance while also earning ITA Scholar-Athlete honors.
