Adrian Burde
Associate Head Coach
Adrian Burde (pronounced bur-DAY) has been a central figure in the Florida Gators gymnastics program since 2011, and became Associate Head Coach in summer 2022. He specializes in coaching vault and tumbling, and also plays important roles in recruiting and conditioning for the team.
Under Burde’s direction, Florida gymnasts have achieved major success in NCAA and SEC competitions. Since 2011, three Gators have won individual NCAA vault titles; in SEC Championships, Florida has claimed event titles across multiple seasons in vault and floor exercises. His athletes have also recorded numerous perfect 10.0 scores, particularly in vault and floor, with records and top finishes at NCAA floor exercise finals among the best in the nation.
Before Florida, Burde coached at the University of Nebraska (2002-2006), where he oversaw vault, floor, and served as conditioning coordinator. His coaching there contributed to multiple NCAA Super Six appearances and many All-America honors. His gymnastics roots trace back to Romania, where he was a Junior National Team coach and also competed as a gymnast before moving into coaching.
