Adam Vrable is an assistant baseball coach at the University of Louisville in Louisville, Kentucky, and the 2025 season marked his 12th year on the staff after he was announced on Aug. 1, 2014. He oversees Louisville's hitters and outfielders and also assists with recruiting. Across his first 11 seasons with the Cardinals, Louisville reached the College World Series three times, won five ACC Atlantic Division titles, advanced to six NCAA Super Regionals, produced 24 All-Americans, and had 61 players selected in the Major League Baseball Draft. Among the individual honors credited to Louisville players during his tenure are 56 all-conference selections, 14 future major leaguers, and Brendan McKay's 2017 National Player of the Year award.
Louisville's offense was one of the nation's best in 2025 as the Cardinals went 42-24 and returned to the College World Series. The club ranked third nationally in hits, sixth in stolen bases, and placed among the top 20 in doubles, triples, and sacrifice flies. Louisville also set a program record with 162 stolen bases. Lucas Moore led the nation with 53 steals and finished second nationally with 85 runs scored on the way to All-America recognition. Alex Alicea and Zion Rose each stole more than 30 bases, giving Louisville three players above that mark, and freshman Tague Davis set the school freshman record with 18 home runs and earned Freshman All-America honors. Jake Munroe, Matt Klein, and Eddie King Jr. were selected in the 2025 MLB Draft.
