Adam Hughes
Head Coach
Adam Hughes is the head coach of the University of Maryland women’s volleyball program, a role he assumed in 2018 after serving as the team’s associate head coach. Since taking over, he has led the Terrapins to multiple historic achievements, including their first wins over top-10 programs and three consecutive .500-or-better seasons for the first time in nearly two decades. A Penn State graduate with a degree in Economics, Hughes previously worked with Penn State’s championship volleyball program and UC Irvine before joining Maryland. Recognized as one of the American Volleyball Coaches Association’s “Thirty Under 30,” he is known for elevating programs through strong recruiting, player development, and program-building success.
