Abe Davis
Assistant Coach
Abe Davis joined the Stevens Institute of Technology men’s tennis coaching staff in 2024, serving as an assistant coach for the Ducks. In this role, Davis supports player development, match preparation, and day-to-day training operations for one of the most successful Division III men’s tennis programs in the country. Stevens competes in the Middle Atlantic Conference (MAC Freedom), and Davis contributes to a culture defined by competitive excellence, academic achievement, and sustained postseason success.
Davis brings a strong background as both a collegiate student-athlete and tennis instructor. He is a graduate of Oberlin College, where he was a four-year member of the men’s tennis team and served as a senior captain. During his tenure, Davis helped lead the Yeomen to a national ITA ranking of No. 38, one of the highest finishes in program history, while recording the third-most career wins at Oberlin. His leadership and consistency were central to the program’s competitive rise during his playing career. In addition to his collegiate experience, Davis has coached at the John McEnroe Tennis Academy in New York, working with high-level junior players and gaining hands-on instructional experience in a nationally recognized training environment.
Outside of athletics, Davis has built a successful professional career in finance. He began his career in investment banking in San Francisco, where he executed 13 mergers and acquisitions transactions totaling more than $3 billion in enterprise value. His background in high-performance athletics and professional finance provides a unique perspective that he brings to mentoring student-athletes at Stevens.
